AFLCA Exercise Theory Questions
To gain your designation as a fitness instructor, whether that is a personal trainer or pilates instructor, you will need to have some background knowledge of fitness. Exercise Theory is the first step to ensure that you have sufficient knowledge to instruct the general public.
Exercise Theory consists of 60 multiple choice questions with 4 answer options. You will have 60 minutes to complete the exam. Question Types

The second type of question you will get is the application question. This type of question is much more difficult, as they require your ability to recall and apply your knowledge. For instance, you may need to understand the concept of the lever system and link it to the muscular system. You may get questions such as, “Which of these exercises is the easiest to perform?” While this may seem like a no-brainer, you will need to assess different types of exercises, understand which muscles are used, and the lever system. The trick to these questions is to have a basic understanding of the different topics.
