Once you’ve passed the Fitness Theory exam (with the help of our online BC Fitness Theory course) and registered on The Registry of Fitness Professionals (meeting all the CPR & First Aid requirements – see below), you’ve officially become a new BCRPA registered fitness leader. But your BCRPA Fitness Registration has to be updated every 2 years before your renewal date. To do that, you need to log into The Registry and upload the following documents. These are the things you need for the BCRPA fitness registration renewal:
- A current CPR certification (CPR A minimum)
- A current First Aid certification (Emergency or Standard First Aid minimum)
- Proof of Continuing Education Credits (try to upload these 5-10 business days in advance as it may take time to process and you don’t want to miss your renewal)
You’ll also need to pay the $165 BCRPA Fitness Program Registration Fee every 2 years by your renewal date.
Why Renew Your Fitness Registration?
If you do not maintain your BCRPA Registration, CPR or First Aid certificates, the insurance may not cover you. That means if anything happens, you could be held personally liable for legal costs and damages!

The requirements for renewing your registration in other provinces are similar, but there may be small differences. For help, contact us.
