Are you thinking of becoming a personal trainer or a fitness instructor, but have not taken the NSFA Exercise Theory? Perhaps you are unsure about where to start your journey? Not to worry. If you live in Nova Scotia and are thinking about starting out your fitness career, you have come to the right place. In this article, we will be going over the 3 steps that you need to take to begin!

Step 1: Take the NS Exercise Theory course

The first thing you want to do is enroll in the NS Exercise Theory course. Our course will help prepare you for the Exercise Theory exam, which is all multiple choice. You will be required to get at least 80% to pass. If this sounds worrisome, do not fret! Everything you need to pass is there in the course. We have developed a course that helps minimize your studying time while achieving greater results. This includes over 600+ practice questions, fill in the blank notes (to keep you engaged during the lectures), practice exams, and more! Study smart, not study hard.

Step 2: Study!

As you go through the chapters, make additional notes while listening to the lecture. Actively engaging in the content will help you memorize the info long term. If it helps, we also suggest making cue cards! Another method is to highlight the notes to help you focus on the critical info. The more connections you are able to make with different concepts, the better it will stick! Try these methods and see which one works best. We also have chapter questions to help assess and cement your knowledge.

Step 3: Take the NSFA Exercise Theory Exam

Once you are ready to take the exam, simply contact NSFA at [email protected] to challenge the exam and book a session with a proctor. You will need high-speed internet and a webcam.

Best of luck in your fitness journey!
