BCRPA Personal Trainer Exam Format
Unlike the Fitness Theory exam, the BCRPA Personal Trainer exam is a little bit more complicated. Rather than being 100% focused on multiple-choice questions, there are:
- 60 Multiple Choice Questions worth 1 Mark each
- 3 Match-up Questions worth 5 Marks each
- 1 Case Study Question worth 60 Marks
What is the passing grade for the Personal Trainer exam?
This makes a total of 135 marks with a passing mark of 70% (94/135).
What is the duration of the exam?
You have 3 hours to complete the exam. Here are the estimated times required for each section:
- Multiple Choice: 60-90 minutes
- Match-ups: 20-30 minutes
- Case Study: 40-60 minutes
This should give you a good guideline on how much time you should be spending on each section of the exam.
