If you’re trying to become a personal trainer or fitness instructor of some kind in BC (British Columbia) you may have come across the BCRPA and the BCRPA certification.

There are a lot of different types of personal trainers out there so naturally, there are a lot of different registrations and certifications you can get.  But the first step is always to pass the exam.

The BCRPA Certification

The BCRPA certification is recognized nationally and internationally. However, it is especially relevant if you intend to practice in BC.  BCRPA stands for British Columbia Recreation and Parks Association. It is the regulatory fitness body in BC which sets the standards for fitness professionals all throughout the province. For this reason, many fitness facilities you want to work or teach at will require you to have this certification.
